RURENER is a European network dedicated to empowering rural communities in the energy transition. RURENER‘s vision is to create a European Union that recognizes the immense potential of its rural territories to lead the way in sustainable energy transformation. By addressing energy-related challenges, RURENER promotes a holistic approach to rural development. Through the experiences of its members, RURENER emphasizes the critical role that rural areas play in making the energy transition a reality across Europe, and it strives to ensure that the voice of rural communities is heard and respected in Brussels.

RURENER‘s mission includes: Representing rural European communities in the fight against climate change. Facilitating the exchange of best practices and fostering collaboration between European communities. Providing rural communities with the tools to develop and implement their own energy strategies. Promoting technical, organizational, and social innovations that have been tested on the ground. As an advocacy-driven network, RURENER supports rural communities in accessing EU funding and managing EU projects. RURENER actively brings the concerns and needs of its members to European decision-makers. Additionally, RURENER animates its network through newsletters, general assemblies, learning trips and various collaborative activities, ensuring that our members stay connected and informed.

IGEA is a forward-thinking and mission-driven non-governmental organization based in Bursa, Türkiye. IGEA is actively engaged in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship, education and sustainable development. IGEA was founded with the vision of creating inclusive opportunities for individuals and communities to grow through knowledge, creativity and international cooperation. GSL

Green Solutions Lab is an innovative research and consulting organization focused on sustainability, education, and technology. GSL develops AI-driven analytics, Extended Reality, Augmented Reality and gamification-based learning models to enhance capacity building and digital education, especially in the fields of environmental sustainability, circular economy, and climate action. GSL aims to empower marginalized groups, including rural communities, women and youth, by providing them with digital learning opportunities and tools to actively participate in the green economy.

GSL collaborates with universities, research institutions and policymakers to create scalable educational solutions. GSL focuses on developing AI-supported learning platforms, circular economy strategies, and immersive AR and VR training experiences to help individuals and organizations transition to sustainable practices. GSL also supports inclusive education for disadvantaged groups, ensuring equal access to technology-enhanced learning. Through its work in EU-funded projects, GSL promotes innovative, environmentally sustainable educational solutions, leveraging digital transformation and AI to build a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Junta de Freguesia de Vila Boa do Bispo is a town hall and a parish council from the North of Portugal. Junta de Freguesia de Vila Boa do Bispo serves a community of approximately 3000 people, providing diversified services in public infrastructure maintenance and improvement, formal education for children and Non-Formal Learning activities for youth, post office services, information, and legal support services for all the population.

Junta de Freguesia de Vila Boa do Bispo also develops projects in several areas of interest, such as culture, heritage preservation, youth and sports, nature, and environment. Junta de Freguesia de Vila Boa do Bispo has implemented international cooperation projects in youth participation, skills, sustainable development, community engagement and cultural preservation. All this has allowed Junta de Freguesia de Vila Boa do Bispo to expand the impact of its initiatives, bringing in and sharing good practices for the development of innovative, inclusive, and sustainable policies.
