The SUSRUD learning trip in France was a great opportunity to have an immersive program exploring concrete example regarding applications of biomass energy systems. The agenda was completely full : several REX (return of experiences) such as Méthamoly biogas digester, Méthagenête biogas digester, Belleville-en-Beaujolais Biogas Digester, wood chip boiler systems, which led to a comparative overview regarding biomass energy installations between two areas (Creuse and Monts du Lyonnais).
The learning trip has been a relevant tool to show real-life examples which has been absolutely interesting for the participants from different countries (Turkiye,Bulgaria and Portugal). The concrete examples enrich he discussions regarding the rural development thanks to biomass energy systems even after the field visits. Last but not least, the learning trip is really creating an EU belonging. Indeed, it’s absolutely relevant for a good project’s dynamic to have this kind of activity, especially during a project about a really specific and technic topic. A new way of learning to answer E+ standards!
