RURENER’s Visit to a Bio-GNV Station. A Model of Local Renewable Energy Collaboration

During the 24th of October 2025 RURENER participated to a national meeting concerning the territories that are involved in using renewable energies.

In this context it was a great opportunity to gather more information for the SUSRUD project. That is why RURENER visited a Bio-GNV station. This station fills trucks belonging to a local transport company with biogas that comes from three nearby methane digesters. It’s a good example of using biogas energy created locally. This station is also a good example of collective work between private and public organizations.

Finally, for the SUSRUD project it’s another argument to show that biogas digester using biomass energy could be a great territorial opportunity when the context is in favor of these kinds of projects.

Picture 2: The white boxes used to store the gas under specific pressure before it is transferred into the trucks.
