SUSRUD is a collaborative project bringing together partners RURENER from France, Green Solutions Lab from Bulgaria, @FREGUESIA DE VILA BOA DO BISPO from Portugal and IGEA from Türkiye to promote biomass energy solutions for sustainable rural development. ⚡
SUSRUD aims to empower rural farmers, VET educators and local communities by introducing biomass energy as a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to conventional energy sources. By utilizing agricultural residues, SUSRUD contributes to lower energy costs, reduced environmental impact and enhanced energy independence for rural areas. ♻️
Within the following 15 months, we seek to..
✅ Reduce energy costs in agriculture by promoting local biomass energy use.
✅ Enhance knowledge and skills by training 200 farmers and 40 VET educators.
✅ Develop a practical guide on biomass energy solutions for rural communities.
✅ Conduct workshops and a field visit to successful biomass energy facilities.
✅ Create 12 inspirational podcasts and video series showcasing best practices.
